Trump's Going All-In on AI. Will His Midterm Gamble Pay Off?

On Tuesday, the CEOs of Nvidia, Google, Meta, xAI, Anthropic, and more joined President Trump to discuss the development of AI, or, as the President has rebranded it, Super Intelligence. While they’ve signed a voluntary pledge to police AI safety, Democrats want Washington to step in instead, as if government standards do anything other than destroy innovation.

Americans invented this technology, but we're among the most pessimistic people on Earth about it. Only 36% of Americans expect AI to mostly help the country, compared to 93% in China. Trump is backing data centers anyway, just weeks before the midterms.

The same day, the administration launched America.gov, an AI-powered front page for federal government services. Big government gave us the HealthCare.gov disaster. AI might finally give us a government that works, and a bureaucracy whose days are numbered.
